Well as you can see I was up late blogging last night, so this morning I couldn't get out of bed. I finally woke up after a long hot shower, and finally made it to the bloggers breakfast at Ebeneezer's. It was great to get to know some of my fellow bloggers a little bit better.
After that we headed over to Union Station and went down to the AMC for the Buzz Conference. The band was good, Mark Batterson did a great job. The Church Marketing Sucks guys... I don't know what to say. He might of had some important stuff to say, but in my opinion he isn't a gifted communicator. So for someone gifted with A.D.D. it was hard for me to pay attention.
We had an insane lunch. YES GARY LAMB WAS THERE, or as I will refer to him from now on "Lambo". Dude this guy is as raw crazy as it gets. We had a blast, talking about church stuff. It was awesome to get to meet some church planters. Tony McCollum hooked it up with lunch. Tony you rock and you are hilarious.
The higlight for me was having dinner and hanging out at Mark Batterson's House. Wow what an honor! There was several hundered people at the conference, and Bob and I along with a hand full of guys were invited to spend an evening in the host pastor's house. How crazy is that? Mark is just the nicest/coolest/down to earth guy ever. No wonder he has the best staff in America.
All in al, I think this is probably the best conference experience I've ever had, and I just hope and pray I can be a part of it next year.
I took a bunch of pictures with some of the peeps, I'll post them up when I get home.
Now that it is all said and done I want to get home, and spend some time with Leilani. Honey I miss you so much, and can't wait to bring you to DC. You're going to love it!!!!
Dude, I had a freaking blast hanging with you guys!
BTW, did you buy that webpage we talked about? :)
